That sounds fun.  I too was on the jib most of the time.  I get the sense you're really going to love this sport.  It wasn't so long ago I was mastering the uphaul and wide-board sailing, and finding pure joy in simple schlogging around the lake.  It was then and even more now is the raw essence of sailing.  The direct attachment to the natural forces we command as sailors.  Putting it all together, and starting the endless journey of learning new and more amazing ways to do it.  In this sport, I've found, being a beginner every bit as fun as being a 'skilled intermediate'.
