Margaret Nold, RIP, April 6, 2017
« on: April 10, 2017, 02:51:40 PM »
Re-post from iWindsurf, for those who haven't heard the sad news.  Many of us knew Margaret from her time running the Avon Sail Shop.  So young, and such misfortune.  She was a classy lady.  I'll always remember her.

Yes, very sad indeed.  Margaret was, for me, a part of the Outer Banks windsurfing experience.  I was sorry to see her close her shop and move away.  She was very professional in her business. I have heard her demonstrate a sail to a French Canadian in good French.  I always felt that she was honest and upright in her business dealings and helpful even if it didn't involve a sale.

The notice of her death suggests that she had to go to Belgium to find release from a terminal illness at the time she wanted to go.  I admire that kind of courage and am sorry that she had to go abroad to find the help she wanted.
