95L board advise
« on: March 09, 2017, 07:02:49 PM »
Hey you all,

I am looking in to buying a 95L board, it will be used more than my 85L.  I know some of you all have a board around 95L.
I would like to know how your board is doing on control, gybing, speed and planning.
I am looking at the Goya one, tabou 3S, JP, Exocet cross. I like my 95L to have a single fin power box setup. sail range (3.7) 4.2 4.8 5.6 (6.6)
It will not be a new board, I am looking in to 2011 and up.

Thanks

I too have a 2015 96L 3S.  Great board, smooth and turns on a dime.  I weigh 170 and use 5.3 and 4.5 as the primary sails.  I have used a 6.0 which works fine, but I usually use the 6.0 on my 105L board.

As I understand it, designs have changed (shorter) since the 1015 model, plus the older designs were different too.  So how does the 2015 compare?  Who knows?

The less expensive (slightly heavier) CED board is plenty light and about $400 less than the LTD which is stiffer too.  The dealer I talked to said that there was little reason to go for the more expensive board.  I would agree.

PE and Ken,

Thanks for the info, I found a 2015 review and at Phils blog a review from a 2011/2012 3S.
I am still looking for some info on the Goya One, JP and Cross.
